THE VARNER FOUNDATION'S 3 PILLARS
There are Thousands of Victims of sex Trafficking
We help them learn to live again
No one thinks it can happen to them.

The Homestead Refuge gives female victims of sex trafficking a safe place to heal and learn how to live again. Located in rural Nebraska, our survivors live in a one-hundred-year-old, refurbished farmhouse supported by loving home coordinators and executive director.

Healing through NATURE
Spending time in nature has a physical impact on our bodies, minds and emotions.
But ask the animals, and they will teach you, or the birds in the sky, and they will tell you; or speak to the earth, and it will teach you, or let the fish in the sea inform you.
Safety through LOVE
By giving unconditional love and non-judgmental support, we make these women feel safe. We listen to their stories and meet them where they are to begin the healing process.
Above all, love each other deeply ...
Fulfillment through WORK
Work feeds our self-esteem. It gives us satisfaction. It allows us to use our gifts. It is an outward demonstration of who we were meant to be. And work has the power to heal.
You shall eat the fruit of the labor of your hands; you shall be blessed and it shall be well with you.
